Copper Cookware- History of the "Queen of Pans"

Since being used in the Renaissance courts, the copper pot can be considered the "Queen of Pots" thanks to its beauty but also to its natural and excellent heat conductivity 392Wm°K which allows the ideal temperature to be reached rapidly and to transfer evenly from the bottom of the pan to the sides.
Flavours and nutritional values remain unchanged and the food doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan, avoiding hot spots and burnings.
Chefs have always favoured this metal because it is the best for cooking. Copper is indispensable for the perfect outcome of dishes requiring long cooking procedures, for delicate dishes and for confectionery creations.

The Tinning

For a perfect use, the thickness of our products can vary between 1.5 for frying pan up to 2-3mm for a large casserole or special pieces. The tin lining is performed manually by using the traditional flame/blotter method. We guarantee a perfect lining, extremely durable and lacking in impurities.
Tin is 100% pure

The Handles

They are produced in brass with the ancient method of mold melting and polished by hand one by one. The rivets are very thick and made in copper.

It is easier than most people think.

All Amoretti Brothers copper cookware are made with 100% pure copper and then tinned on the cooking surface.

It is true, copper will naturally darken without regular polishing, but with little care you can restore the shining of your pans in minutes.

For the exterior: use copper polish to keep copper from tarnishing and free from white spots.
As a natural alternative, you can use a combination of lemon juice and salt and then wash it with fresh water. It will be spectacular again!

For the interior, hand washing is recommended. Hand wash with hot, soapy water and avoid using abrasive materials to clean, and in particular do not use bleach.

All copper cookware can be used on gas, electric, halogen stove tops, and in the oven.

Never heat empty tin-lined copper cookware or allow it to boil to a dry point, or add salt to your pan if the water is not completely boiled.

Every few years of usage the cooking surface can become thinner and should be re-tinned.
